The film tells the story of my country’s Volunteer Army’s third platoon leader Meng Daguan (played by Ren Tianye) in danger during the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. He led the team to rescue the reconnaissance platoon trapped behind enemy lines. The scout platoon led by Chuan (Li Dongxue) successfully merged. In order to avoid more casualties of the large forces, Meng Daguan and Du Chuan decisively decided to kill the enemy heavy artillery battalion that could not be supplied at a critical juncture, and small-scale battles began secretly in this unknown river.
